it’s just me. a southern boy who had lost his way and ended up in philly. a boy who also had too much time on his hands, so he started a blog about whatever crossed his mind..

this has generally been the experience i’ve had over the years, and i have just concluded that american doctors are far more superior than doctors who have received their education outside the states.

well, yesterday i was corrected. big time. without getting into a great deal of details, i’ve been seeing a couple of doctors around the city to get some insight on some problems that i have. the two who i have already seen were both well educated americans. i have to say that my experiences with them were less than satisfactory. not only did they confuse me even more, but they offered no extended plan of action, which could be critical for me.

i was recommended to see someone else, who is indian. i went against all of my previous notions and went to see him, and i’m so glad that i did. he actually TALKED to me and seemed genuinely interested in what i had to say. he offered several options, and suggested a plan of action for me. good stuff.

so, the moral of the story is, don’t judge a book by it’s cover. at least try every now and again to give people a chance. it’s a tall order, and i’ll be the first to say that prejudice comes easy (especially to me), but it’s something to work on. a little food for thought.

so i made it out to the bensalem area and had some awesome indian cuisine from food castle. if you’re in the philly area, and you love indian food, i’d highly recommend making a stop at this place! the food is rich, savory and not too hard on your wallet! i had a four course meal and it cost a little bit over $20.

Saturday:

saturday was pretty relaxing, the weather couldn’t have been better! i was out in Bristol at a friend’s block party in their neighborhood. the grub was good, and there was plenty of alcohol. it was good times until a fight broke out in my friend’s bathroom between two drunk guys. i heard the commotion and ran upstairs to see what was going on, only to find the two of them throwin’ down in the tub! they totally trashed my friend’s bathroom, which really sucked. i didn’t know either of the guys, but i didn’t like them trashing up the place, so i went in to pull one of the guys off.. i managed to almost get swung on in the process.. fun stuff heh.

Sunday:

sunday was reserved for recovering from the night prior haha. i managed to watch almost the entire season three of prison break during the day, and at night i went out to casablanca and proceeded to gorge myself on moroccan cuisine, homemade apple wine, and bellydancers :P. the seven course meal lasted about 3.5 hours and it was well worth it!

so there ya have it, my weekend in a nutshell. now i’m back at the circus that is known as learning by grace, and back to the grind for another four days!!

helicopter fishing, or how aussies do fishing. holy crap,...

helicopter fishing, or how aussies do fishing. holy crap, man…

well slap my ass and call me shirley...

steve’s got a blog! yea, so i took the plunge and got myself a shiny new blog. you’ll see me post from time to time about god knows what, so just consider yourself warned, alright?

(seriously though, it should be alright, i’ll be on my best behavior.)

for those who have nothing better to do, thanks for reading, and i hope i can provide some sort of entertainment!
